Information about Websphere with executing the commands

Cell Name On DMGR
/opt/IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/dmgr/config/cells//cell.xml

On AppServer
/opt/IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/appserv/config/cells//cell.xml

<?xml:namespace prefix = topology.cell /><topology.cell:cell id="Cell_1" celltype="DISTRIBUTED" celldiscoveryprotocol="TCP" name="TTCell">

Here “name” represents the name of the cell.

DM Node Name /opt/IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/dmgr/config/cells//nodes/
Parse the serverindex.xml file. Check for the occurance of string
serverType="DEPLOYMENT_MANAGER".

If yes then its a deployment manager then refer “WAS Node name” procedure to get the node name.
WAS Node Name /opt/IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/appserv/config/cells//nodes//node.xml “name” will represent the node name.
WAS Version /opt/IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/appserv/config/cells//nodes//node-metadata.properties

Search for “ProductVersion” STRING.
IHS Node Name Go to /opt/IBM/WebSphere/Plugins/config/
Then directory name below this directory will be a node name. Exclude the directory name “templates”.
IHS version name /opt/IBMIHS/version.signature
WAS-Plugin Version /opt/IBM/WebSphere/Plugins/properties/version/update/backup/maintenanceHistory.xml

Search first line with word “info” . This line will have the version information.

<param name="info" value="WebSphere Plugin 6.0.2.15">

THINGS YOU NEVER KNEW YOUR CELL PHONE COULD DO...

THINGS YOU NEVER KNEW YOUR CELL
PHONE COULD DO ...

There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies.

Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival. Check out the things that you can do with it:

Number 1:

* The Emergency Number worldwide for **Mobile** is 112.* If you find yourself out of coverage area of your mobile network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112

can be dialed even if the keypad is locked.

**Try it out.**

Number 2 :

* Subject: Have you locked your keys in the car? Does you car have remote keys?*

This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone:

If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their cell phone from your cell phone.

Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock.

Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away,

and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk).

Editor's Note: *It works fine! We tried it out and it unlocked our car over a cell phone!"*

Number 3 :

Subject: Hidden Battery power

Imagine your cell battery is very low , you are expecting an important call

and you don't have a charger. Nokia instrument comes with a reserve battery. To activate, press the keys *3370# Your cell will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you charge your cell next time.

AND

Number 4 :

How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone?

To check your Mobile phone's serial number, key in the following digits on your phone:

* # 0 6 #

A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. when your phone get stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless.

You probably won't get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either.

If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones.

Please spread this useful information around

Guys
We are facing a problem of compilation messages of JDK are displayed in Norwegian. I am suggesting of workaround for this problem.
If you are using a Linux then export "LANG = en_US" in your .profile file. Then default language for your profile changes to US English and all the compilation messages will be in English.
command :
export LANG=en_US
On Windows machine for default command prompt above trick will not work. But there is another option as download the cygwin software (http://cygwin.com/) and compile your programs from cygwin command prompt by exporting the LANG environment variable to get messages in English.
Also I am attaching a PDF which suggests changing the default language from windows machine. http://www.endnote.com/support/helpdocs/Changing%2520Regional%2520Settings%2520in%2520Windows%2520XP.pdf
After performing steps , IE started displaying messages in English but the windows options are shown in Norwegian.
Hope this will help.

set sts1 [$AdminConfig list StatisticsProvider $s1]

$AdminConfig modify $pmis1 {{enable true}{statisticSet custom}{initialSpecLevel beanModule=H}}

//-----set the statistics type as custom------------------------

set perfName [$AdminControl completeObjectName type=Perf,*]

set perfOName [$AdminControl makeObjectName $perfName]

$AdminControl invoke $perfName getStatisticSet

set params [java::new {java.lang.Object[]} 1]

$params set 0 [java::new java.lang.String custom]

set sigs [java::new {java.lang.String[]} 1]

Using RMI over SSL authentication for application-level access control

Nice article about how to use RMI over SSL

http://www.cs.columbia.edu/~akonstan/rmi-ssl/

SSH without password

1 ssh-keygen -t rsa

This will generate the pub key and private keys

Now copy the id_rsa.pub to the .ssh directory of the remote host you want to logon to as authorized_keys

2 scp id_rsa.pub:.ssh/authorized_keys

that'a all

Now try to login the remote server as

3 ssh It should not ask you a password.

For more details refer to

http://www.cs.umd.edu/~arun/misc/ssh.html

The correct command for copying pub key is scp id_rsa.pub Remote Server Name :.ssh/authorized_keys

Difference between the wisdom and intelligence

Huff !
Seems to very confusing right ?
Same reaction from mine first time !
When I googled I found very nice thought from the different people.
http://diary.carolyn.org/wisdom.html
http://neutroncytoplasma.blogspot.com/2006/08/mental-qualities-and-difference.html. I would give 10/10 for this blog.
He tells how meditation can be used to increase your wisdom and letter the most important
"Common Sense " which is very uncommon.
